A Day For Truth and Reflection: National Day For Truth & Reconciliation

 Learning and Remembering Together

On September 30th, we honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, survivors, their families, and their communities. This day of quiet reflection serves as a vital opportunity for education about the history and future of reconciling with the past. The colour orange has become a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom, and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children. Every Child Matters.

JOY Radio is dedicated to commemorating this significant day with thoughtful tributes. We invite you to listen to us throughout the day as we amplify Indigenous voices. Let September 30th be the day we all learn and remember together.
